About me and my therapy practice

I’m an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist offering a supportive and reflective online space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace.

My work is grounded in person-centred therapy, valuing empathy, authenticity and a non-judgemental therapeutic relationship.

I strive to help clients understand themselves better by integrating psychodynamic understanding to explore emotional patterns, relationships and unconscious processes that may influence present difficulties.

Alongside this, I draw on brief solution-focused therapy to help clients identify strengths, build resilience and work towards meaningful and achievable change.

I work collaboratively with clients facing a range of issues including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, stress, self-esteem and life transitions, supporting both emotional insight and practical progress.

Practice description

I offer online counselling in a confidential, flexible and accessible setting, providing clients with the opportunity to engage in therapy from the comfort and privacy of their own space.

Online sessions can support those with busy schedules, mobility challenges, caring responsibilities or who simply feel more comfortable meeting remotely.

My approach online remains warm, relational and collaborative, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and solution-focused ways of working to support emotional exploration, self-awareness and meaningful change.

I aim to create a safe and consistent therapeutic space where clients feel heard, understood and supported, whether working through current difficulties, deeper emotional patterns or specific goals.

My first session

Before our first online counselling session, I will email you an assessment form to complete and return prior to arranging an appointment.

This helps provide an initial understanding of your circumstances, concerns and what you hope to gain from counselling.

During our first session, we will discuss and agree our counselling contract, including confidentiality, data protection, session boundaries, cancellations and how we will work together online.

The first session is also an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to counselling, any current difficulties you may be experiencing and the goals or changes you would like support with.

I aim to offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can begin to feel comfortable talking openly and at your own pace.

We will also consider whether online counselling feels right for you and how we can work together in a way that best supports your needs.
